Earlier on Monday, Juve announced that forward Sebastian Giovinco has joined Toronto FC prior to when expected. The 28-year-old has chosen the Canadian outfit before start of Big league Soccer season in March.

Giovinco, that has won 21 caps for Italy, made his last appearance for Juve as being a late substitute against Hellas Verona on 18 January.

Turin-born Giovinco was obviously a product of Juve’s youth system and broke to the first team in 2006. One year later, he made his Serie A debut while on loan at Empoli before joining Parma for a two-year loan spell this season.

Giovinco, the ‘Atomic Ant’ due to his speed and diminutive stature, was the main Juve side that won back-to-back Serie A crowns the final two seasons.

He has played 131 times for Juve altogether, but has only made appearances this coming year.
